    TSI Exemptions

    TSI Exemptions

    You may be exempt from the TSI requirement if you:

    • Have met the minimum college readiness standard on SAT, ACT or other statewide high school test;
    • Have successfully completed college-level English and math courses;
    • Have enrolled in a Level-One certificate program (fewer than 43 semester credit hours);
    • Are not seeking a degree;
    • Have been honorable discharged from military or currently on active duty;
    • Are certified as an emergency medical technician employed by a government agency;
    • Are included as fire protection personnel by Section419.021.Government Code; or
    • Are elected, appointed, or employed to serve as a commissioned peace officer
